Cram a huge helping of virtually everything into two fantastic weeks, from the bustling excitement of the big cities, to the fun and sun of Florida's beaches and everything else in between. Visit historical Philadelphia, Washington DC and Shenandoah National Park and don't forget the option to embrace your inner child at Disney World, Florida. Enter gator territory and take an included tour through the swamplands, before taking it easy with some live music in the Deep South. Spend the last leg of the tour on the shores of the Gulf of Mexico, checking out springs and topping up your tan on Florida's endless white sand beaches. There's no surprise that this tour is one of our favs!

  • Days 1-2 New York Area, Philadelphia & Washington DC

Heading out of the New York area, the first stop is Philadelphia to check out the Liberty Bell, Independence Halls and the famous 'Rocky' steps. So grab your camera and recreate a piece of movie history! If all that running has got you hungry, you can hit the Reading Terminal Market to bargain for local treats or grab yourself a Philly cheese steak - one of the many famous local specialties and not to be missed! Washington DC is next on the agenda and we recommend heading into the centre as the sun sets for an illuminated view of the monuments. It makes for a spectacular first evening and a perfect introduction to the grandeur of the nation's capital. Explore the best of this historic city the next day with an included bike tour then take advantage of the great nightlife in picturesque Georgetown. Accommodation: Camping included

  • Days 3 Appalachian Mountains

It's time to be awe-struck as you enter the Appalachian Mountains, a place full of natural beauty. This super-sized, 1,500 mile mountain chain is also home to the American Black Bear and former haunt of the Cherokee Indians! Although today is primarily a long drive day, you are rewarded by views of the Appalachian Mountains and dense greenery that this area is so well-known for. There is time for a short walk, so get out and stretch those legs in some of America's most beautiful scenery. You'll soon realise why people flock here in their thousands every year! Accommodation: Camping included For 2017 departures this day will visit and stay overnight in Shenandoah National Park.

  • Days 4 Tennessee

It's time for some excitement as you enter the vibrant and eclectic Deep South. This is the home of country music so make sure you get your vocals at the ready because you'll be singing along in no time. Want more action? Don a lifejacket, grip a paddle and bounce along a churning stretch of white-water for pure adrenalin down the Ocoee River, which is the actual course used during the Centennial Olympic Games in 1996. • Days 5-6 Nashville

From honky-tonk bars to The Grand Ole Opry, they don't call Nashville the 'centre of the music world' for nothing! This place is full of life and you'll be hotfooting your way from one bar to the next checking out the live music. Accommodation: Camping included

Located near the Mississippi River, Memphis has a long and colourful past. Why not visit Graceland, the home of Elvis Presley? Elvis had a huge influence on country, blues and rock 'n' roll music, and his former home is the second-most visited private home in the USA after the White House. Visit Sun Studios, the home of rock 'n' roll since 1950 and a place many a great name has passed through. There's more to Memphis than just music, pay a visit to the National Civil Rights Museum located in the former Lorraine Hotel and see the place where Martin Luther King was assassinated.
